#paris2024 | Pre-handover inspection of the Olympic Village! While we await a more comprehensive report in the spring, we offer you a brief tour of the Olympic Village, which is making headlines just months before the start of the games!
This is an opportunity to highlight a wonderful story that unfolds with the landscape architects of the TER Agency, with whom we collaborated to write the design charter for the public spaces of this innovative neighborhood. A story that took shape in the creation of 350 reused street lamps for the village with Concepto, exchanges with Alexandre Moronnoz and Sineu Graff to create inclusive furniture that encourages sports practice... and a coherent approach to all small or large innovative equipment and road infrastructure.
This collaboration underscores the commitment of Studio 5•5 to support public authorities in the practice of sustainable design. A larger-scale project that requires more time, discussions, patience, perseverance, and sometimes even battles... but the interest lies in considering the long-term impact of the work for the greater good!
This project is part of the broader framework of the public space project management mission of the "Athletes' Village," of which 5•5 is a part alongside Carlotta Mazzi and Henri Bava of the TER Agency, the lead firm of the consortium, on behalf of the Olympic Works Delivery Company - SOLIDEO.
