Branding
In the Ruchaud workshops, scissors dance, needles trace, and hands shape the union of foam and fabric with precision and poetry. For over 130 years, Ruchaud has been honing its craft in technical upholstery — from marine interiors to bespoke furniture and custom fittings.
At 5•5, we have a deep affection for craftsmanship and the world of workshops. So when Ruchaud invited us to help reinvent its visual identity, we didn’t hesitate.
We imagined a graphic universe that reflects their gestures, materials, and mastery. The new identity — from logo to layout — is built from abstract forms that echo the art of fabric pattern-making and the modular nature of foam assembly. These shapes come together like pieces of a puzzle to create a flexible visual language: logos, patterns, textures, layouts...
For this project, the studio handled the full creative scope: from the brand identity and catalogue design to the website, photo direction, and a digital playbook for social media.
