Branding

Like the creative, uninhibited workshop we held surrounding the iconic Duralex glass, its identity was built by playing with a repertory of blue abstract forms, like the add-on objects, that adorn the texts and communication documents.

Architecture & retail

As an extension of the work on the "Picardie" glass, it is these iconic facets that inspired us to create the extravagant display of hexagons installed in the studio for the brand's 70th anniversary.

Product

Manifesto

"A Duralex glass represents the very essence of what we value in design: an honest, timeless object. There is nothing cheap or artificial in its design. It is entirely based on function. Its beauty is a result of this."
For the 70th anniversary of the Duralex brand, studio 5•5 revealed all of the facets of the iconic "Picardie" glass, an international symbol of France. A diverse collection of add-on objects that give the legendary glass new functions to accompany the small, mundane moments of our everyday lives.

To enable everyone to enjoy these quirky creations, the 3D files of the objects presented could be downloaded for free on the site of the exhibit. Visitors could therefore give life to these objects using their 3D printer. A generous gesture by 5•5 and Duralex that illustrates their desire to make design accessible to all.
